Evaluating Digital Education Platforms in Pharmacy Practice

I am incredibly proud to share that SCSRU graduate consultant and Ph.D. student Kyu Min Shim has recently published his exploratory research in the journal Exploratory Research in Clinical and Social Pharmacy! Collaborating with researchers from the School of Pharmacy, Kyu-Min lent his statistical expertise to evaluate how online, computer-based education platforms impact pharmacists’ knowledge and real-world delivery of point-of-care testing. By applying a variety of generalized linear models to complex, real-world experiment data, he derived meaningful insights proving that while digital tools significantly boost long-term knowledge, broader organizational support is what truly drives behavioral shifts in practice. This project beautifully highlights how a statistics consultant can bridge domains to solve critical interdisciplinary challenges.

Congratulations Kyu Min!
